The Cervantes Theater was said to be almost gone when a huge fire almost burned it down, part of the theater was practically destroyed. And as time passed, according to Spanish history the said theater has been abandoned for long time because of the differences by the people here.

Historically, according to a legend “Principe Alfonso” was the first name of the said Cervantes Theater. But on the 19th century the said building was gone by fire and was then called as Teatro de la Libertad.  The said Teatro was fist opened to celebrate the royal visit of Queen Isabella II in the city of Malaga.

In the eighties, the people of Malaga initiate renovations of the theater. And now, the Miguel Cervantes is uploading most of the biggest, famous performances performed by the famous artists all around the globe that presents to the public. The Cervantes Theater is the place of people who appreciate the arts and performances in theater. Because in Teatro Cervantes, they cater the best of the modern concerts, local/ international music performers, theatrical performances, and dance offers to the people in Malaga and tourist.

And now, the Cervantes Theater has drawn up to grace the city of Malaga. Architects from the city of Malaga have been paid to work for the renovations of the theater. It was Jeronimo Cuervo who has been chosen for his initiative of creating significant landmarks in the city of Malaga.

The said Architect of the Cervantes Theater was accompanied by another architect of the city of Malaga. They are Bernardo Ferrandiz, and Muñoz Degrain both are from the city of Malaga.

In 1984, the reconstruction of Cervantes Theater has acquired by the city hall of Malaga. However today, the said Cervantes Theater has already had the capacity of 1171 seats divided into two parts which is the orchestra seats and the stage boxes.

And now the Cervantes Theater stands stunningly in the world of entertainment of different genres such as the Opera, Music, Theater, and dance performances.
